Model naming

Ortek keyboard model numbers often begin "MCK" or "MKB", and (on the basis that OEMMAX is directly linked with Ortek) "SCK".[1] MCK appears to stand for "Multi-Compatible Keyboard", i.e. a keyboard that is XT/AT switchable.[2] The "Ortek compact series" uses both MCK and MKB, and this may be significant.

Ortek keyboard model numbers frequently end in "SX" and "FX"; it appears that SX indicates Alps SKCL/SKCM series and later Alps SKBL/SKBM series, while FX corresponds with the use of Alps clone switches. FT is an additional suffix listed on boxes (as a third tick box after SX and FX), but it has yet to be seen indicated on the box.
