Cherry G80 Double Shot Keycaps

Hey!

Today during my practical training in a computer store I found something quite nice.
Me and a friend of mine were disassembling some really old keyboards, mostly rubber dome keyboards.
My friend was just cutting of some cables from a keyboard, then he opened the keyboard and there it was.
A Keyboard with Cherry MX Black switches. He didn't even know what a mechanical keyboard was, but I was really surprised.
Unfortunately he already cut off the cables from the keyboard and I facepalmed pretty hard since that was a really nice and new looking keyboard.

So what I did was I saved the keycaps for my own mechanical keyboards and I -think- they are double shots! They really look like double shots but I cant really identify them so maybe someone can tell me if those are really double shot keycaps.

BTW I cant remember the exact model number but I definitely know that it was a Cherry G80 with MX Blacks.

Have a look at these photos:

I would have tried to get the entire thing (if you didn't) since the cable can be repaired quite easy. It's sad how often these things happen. People see an old keyboard and just think it is a piece of junk having no idea. So much good stuff end in the trash... some of it probably extremely rare ones too.

I should also mention that you got the windowed version of the Caps-Num-ScrollLock keycaps, i.e. with LEDs under the key. They are somewhat rare. Your other keyboards probably have the LEDs in a separate cluster.

The PCB appears to be from a G80-1501 (with space for the health card unit in the upper right corner).

Didn't get the keyboard, just the keycaps..
Yeah, it's a real shame that these things happen quite often..

That is correct! These are the windowed versions of the Caps,Num and ScrollLock keycaps.
How rare are they exactly? I'm curious! Finally I got somewhat lucky.

Here you can see all of the keycaps on my 6GV2 after I washed them etc.,

Some of them are just ontop of the other standard keycaps, I just did it to check if I got every keycap and didn't forgot one!
Oh, the Numpad 7 key is the only key that I'm missing. I took another keycap that kinda looks like them, so it's not too bad.

BTW fun fact - I spent like an hour or two collecting all of the keycaps in the entire room that we were working in, because my co-worker threw them through the entire room while dissembling it. And this room is REALLY messy. Trust me. I looked EVERYWHERE for every single keycap. Found all but the Numpad 7.

That's a really nice offer from you! I really appreciate it.

The only problem is that I'm living in Germany - I guess you live in the USA?
I don't know how expensive it would be to ship it, I would pay you the shipping ofcourse.
Do you know how expensive that would be?

I guess. It's the board from this keyboard:

I -might- be able to still save the board, I will look for it on monday and maybe it's still there!
