I'm still in awe at just how pristine and not yellow these boards all are. I've got a good portion of these but they're not nearly as pretty. Well done!
If I were you I'd just fabricate a new knob. Get a nice section of your favorite hardwood, turn it on a lathe and epoxy in a threaded section. At least that way you could use the thing.
