Just saw this on Facebook...
"CALLING ALL SERIOUS COLLECTORS: Come to Computer Reset during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 9525 Skillman St, Dallas, Texas 75243. *DO NOT CALL*, just go! This is a 38,000 sqft facility full of vintage computing hardware. The old man who owns it has fallen ill, and the business is shutting down. *BIDS ARE BEING TAKEN TO CLEAR OUT THE ENTIRE FACILITY AND PUT IT INTO LANDFILL* If you snooze, you lose. NOTHING WILL BE SHIPPED, NOTHING WILL BE BROKERED FOR YOU. DO NOT CALL THE PHONE NUMBER! SHOW UP AND BUY! This is your last chance before it's all disposed of. (Never found any PDP-8 there, but my PDP 11/70 came from here!) CASH SALES ONLY!!!"

Holy shit,
I'm actually considering driving all the way to Dallas for this.
But my poor car might not be able to make it!
(A plane trip is probably out of the running thanks to the amount I would probably be interested in)

I am looking for someone to potentially proxy buy stuff they find for me if I cannot go myself. I am very interested in one of those IBM convertibles.
(Will also pay reasonable price+shipping of course)

Redmaus claims to have gotten some stuff here. Redmaus, what did you get, and what can you tell us? I assume everything is long gone at this point.

Lol there are PILES of boxes there, I got some good stuff, but I bet theres still some left. I'm debating going again to get more boards.XMIT wrote: 07 Jun 2019, 18:23 Redmaus claims to have gotten some stuff here. Redmaus, what did you get, and what can you tell us? I need to get in touch with the owner to see if they are still liquidating. But yeah there's some left most likely I took some good things but even I can't cover that whole area. But if you wanna go find working IBM computers and whatnot, forget it because the people looking for that stuff have already found all that.
I filled my family van full of boards, but I had a craigslist deal at 2 that day so I had to break off.

Signed up here to post this since I haven't found much info about it and apparently a lot of people are driving here just to try to find out what's going on.
We came to the area for the ham radio convention and the rumor that we're hearing is this place should be reopening Sunday (and hopefully more regularly) for more sales.
We won't be able to stay in town to see it and I haven't personally seen the place. Tanner Electronics is reselling some inventory they picked up from here (looks like mostly IBM PCjr stuff).

Unfortunately, this time I was more thorough and got pretty much everything. There might be a few Wyse,AEK II's, and some model M's left.

Probably not, but still frustrating nonetheless.

I also have less than 30, some of the boxes were broken apart model F assemblies not the SSK ones.

Well, that SUCKS.
Still, several NIB SSKs qualifies as a great find.

Yeah, I really wanted to help out and assist in moving stuff there since I've done similar things in boy scouting and am no stranger to hard work.
I doubt that's happening though, I haven't had much contact with the organizer.
