How the keyboard looked when I first got it.
Starting to remove the keycaps and key stems.
Starting to clean the outer case.
Removed the Lotus 123 keyboard shortcuts label.
Top case nice and clean and all sticker adhesive gone.
Soaking all the keycaps and key stems in dish soap ready to be scrubbed clean.
Keycaps and key stems all nice and clean drying.
When I first opened up the keyboard I was unfortunately greeted with 22 broken plastic rivets at that point I knew a screw mod was the best thing for the keyboard.
Removing the remaining plastic rivets ready for the screws.
After removing all the rivets I washed the barrel frame here is it completely clean.
Starting to drill holes through the barrel frame but first I used a soldering iron to make little dips to guide the drill bit.
Close up of some of the holes drilled in the barrel frame.
Close up of some of the screws now installed.
Top down view of all the screws installed.
The fully restored keyboard I had to add some replacement keycaps as the original ones were missing. Overall I think it turned out great please let me know what you think and any other questions you might have I'm happy to answer Thanks.

Thanks for your comment. I was given a full set of free keycaps when I brought an IBM Model M 1991 model from eBay. but I also have sourced replacement IBM Model M keys in the past mainly from IBM Model M122 keyboards as they still go for a relatively cheap price last time I checked.
