Reprogramming a Shine 2 controller

I'd love to know if it's possible to reprogram the Ducky Shine 2's controller, to move the media keys off the Function row. I'm sick of having to either use two hands, or strain one, in order to pause my music. Fn-Comma or Fn-Dot would be much more convenient. Double-tap Fn for context menu (the key that Fn replaced) would be nice too.

Is there a way to flash the existing controller with a modification? Or would it be easier to replace the controller with something else entirely?

This post might have been better off in the Workspace forum...

I don't think you can reflash the current controller, otherwise Ducky would likely have made it a selling feature. The only way you can thus implement your own firmware is by replacing the controller. Again, look in the Workspace forum. There are a few threads about this already, they should apply to any keyboard as long as there is some free space in the case.

You should be able to do what you require using a "key mapper" - software that allows you to remap keys, set up macros, hotkeys etc. No need to flash controllers or do anything destructive! If you are on Windows then AutoHotKey should be able to do what you want (and a whole lot more). It supports several media keys. And as JBert suggests, this will work with any keyboard, not just a Ducky Shine 2.
