Hmm, I like that icon-based 60% layout.

Matt3o, on the changed CTRL icon, have you tried 8 lines without that central ring? I liked how the lines in the previous version were unconnected.

Cool layouts, Muirium! Here's my Dvorak, mono-legend Ergodox plan:
Ergodox'd!
Ergodox'd!

(apologies for slight misspacings in key placement; /me == inkscape noob)

Keys with legends that don't really match their functions include:
Chevron arrows (really Next and Previous)
Bottom row: F7 (a third 1u Fn key)
Ins (1u Enter)
Red Esc (Plover switch; maybe Nerdom could fill in here?)
Alt Gr (Alt-tab)
2x Del (backspace)

Fine work, matt3o. It is fun to see my own version come togther.

with 5 additional keys in the cyrillic set I could also cover Ukranian layout. Futile? Objections?

I'd like to add 2 symbols...

You'd have to bung all the Cyrillic keys into a single kit to hit a reasonable MOQ, I think.

Nice stuff Fifted. Those mono legends are going to be so sweet. And even on an ErgoDox, I think PAGE UP looks better than PGDN! But give the symbols a shot…

That is either impossible or impractical. :)

P.S. ... for any former non-USSR country, I guess.

russian and ukrainian are pretty close. honestly we are including ukrainian just for political reasons, nobody would have asked for it -say- 1 year ago I guess.

When we do Greek, we'd better do Spartan as well as Athenian!

and Trojan!

Don't forget Macedonia: land of Alexander. Or Cleopatra's Greek speaking Egypt! (look it up…)

This will take a while!

How many characters are there in all of Unicode I wonder? And how many Hyper 7s would you need to fit them?

The irony that 7bit likes extended keyboards is not lost on me.

About that zip, Matt, as you want to fire the starting gun?

From now, I received no positive answer from bépo guys so Mono-International won't have Ê and « » keys. Seems that Gilgam isn't interested (no reply or reaction) and Jeff isn't online yet but he should certainly answer that he ever spent a lot on Round5 as others did.
So I can only tell that I tried. But the little success is to know that all regular French layouts are feasible with Mono : swiss qwertz, french and belgian azerty are complete, french-canadian qwerty only miss the « key (as the Portuguese qwerty), canadian multilingual qwerty (CSA/ACNOR) only miss the Ù key. The funny thing is that as the Ê in bépo, the missing legend of those layouts is the one on the extra key in ISO (right on the left shift) can we nickname it the cursed French key ? :D

Do you think the Ù should be in the intl-2 kit?

(sorry about bepo)

Final kits!

https://cloudup.com/ceUexwoT1SI

Source files can be downloaded from: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/116 ... ranite.zip

You need Gotham rounded font to view the SVG files but I will soon post a version with all paths (an not text) that should be usable everywhere.

Key count and size are final! Legends positioning/color/thickness can still change.

GB will start shortly.

The only error I spot so far is in the title "Etra Homing", which is purely academic…

Also, who's in favour of red Amiga keys? From what I've read, black was used on the low end models, and red on the high end Amigas as a mark of distinction.

I am all about the red!

...yep, red amiga looks much better.

* nice job, matt3o! :D

BEAUTIFUL!

Are those final? Like so final that there is no chance for more legend color options for Cyrrilic kit?

Posted: 26 Mar 2014, 16:08

In Soviet Russia, legend colours choose you!

This is the current / final design for the Cyrillic kit. 7bit dug up an older version.

I wholly endorse this kit, while singing the Tetris song!

Thanks for the heads up Muir.

I don't know how Red on dark gray would come up, that's why I went for black

PS: I've submitted all the sets to SP... GB starts in 3... 2... 1....

PPS: RU/UA legends color is yet to be defined
