Hi all!

I'm looking for a couple of keyboards with full US ANSI layout. These are my needs:

- blue switches
- linux & mac support
- multimedia keys if posible
- extra ball: i'd love if it could be personalizable in the future

My budget: 150€, more or less. I'd appreciate if somebody could recommend me some models. I've been reading a lot and checking several models and I'm a little bit lost. I've checked filco, topre, das keyboard... But looks like there aren't a lot of models with my requirements. Oh! I'd prefer if I could buy it in Europe (I'm in Spain), to avoid excesive shipping costs.

I was just about to say WASD until you said Spain. We Europeans have fewer choices, unfortunately, especially these of us who like ANSI over ISO. I'm sure there's a good local way to do it, but the answer that I know is to try Qtan:

Yeah, a WASD keyboard would be the perfect match, but the shipping costs are too high, and also I'm afraid about the import taxes of my country...

Between a Topre ( Type Heaven ), a Filco and a Das Keyboard, what would be the best for a programmer?

The Topre is a Topre: completely different switches (they make their own instead of using Cherry's) and a profoundly different feel. Essentially, Cherry MX blues are sharp and Topre is smooth. Both tactile, both rewarding to type on, but very different.

I'd go for the Topre just because Cherry boards are so much more common that it would be a great way to try it, and then trade for a regular Cherry board depending on how it feels.

The only thing that pops into my mind that fulfills majority your requirements including buying from a European shop (I have seen them in stock at a few German etailers) would be a Cherry G80-3000LSCEU. The only thing it dosen't have is multimedia keys, though you could take a software solution to that. The upside is they are fairly cheap, you should be able to get one for under €70.

Unless you work alone / at home / have a office, it’s pretty irresponsible to use mx blue or mx green in the office. At least I wouldn’t even though my coworkers are the nicest people I know.

If you are not using it for gaming, I’d suggest the topre type heaven ($150 USD) or the Ducky 9008G2PRO

Cherry switches, Thick Dye Sub PBT keycaps, very pretty
