I found an IBM Model M and then realized that the computer above it was a PS/2 8555

What I'm wondering is if it's worth the effort to lug the PC from where it is now to where I live. Do any of you others have a PS/2? Or should I just leave the PS/2 there and then continue using the Model M with my current modern PC?

Well, I'd certainly get it, but it all depends if you like retro tech ... No-one can tell you if it's worth it for you.

A little pizza-box desktop, like this?

You could always find some use for it.

It would have been a perfect computer for early to mid-era DOS games... except that it uses the ill-fated MCA bus and you can't use a normal AdLib/SoundBlaster-compatible sound card with it.

MCA was cool. I had a computer at work that had MCA. 32-bit!

Yup. You should snag it. If you don't want to do something with it, sell it. There is a large market for retro computers.

I do realize that that if I used an MCA computer, I must also be retro tech ...
