Black cherry double shot keys....material?

What are the Black Cherry "H" double shot keys made of?
I was originally under the impression that they were ABS which would kill my idea of dyeing them. However, I have read more recently that they might be POM, which I could dye.
I'm thinking of picking up a refurb G80-11900HRMUS in black, but want to be sure the keycaps are POM first. Any ideas?

Here is where I saw that they might be POM. Post #4.

Oops, ABS was not Cherry. PBT was thinner 8000 series and POM was black double-shot Cherry.

ABS.
Amleth gets a little bit loose with Keyboard Science - maybe ESL problems? Although what amleth says about the boiling part is correct.

Interesting...removed I guess.
I think I'm going to go ahead and attempt to dye some white on black Cherry double-shots anyway. Got a good deal on a G80-11900HRMUS, so why not.

It should be fine. There was some guy on geekhack who dyed white on black ESC keys red and the font became red just fine.
