Modifying Ducky Year of the Horse

I have a Ducky (Mini) Year of the Horse edition with MX Blacks. I am planning to switch out the blacks with Gateron Yellows eventually. But I had some questions about potential future mods I was thinking about.

I really dig this aluminum case. Considering switching the PCB out for a Pok3r PCB for programmability + ability to turn the Right Shift,Pn,FN,and Ctrl into arrow keys. Do they even sell Pok3r PCBs by themselves? Would I be better off buying a custom programmable 60% PCB?
Will I be burned at the stake for radically modifying a limited edition keyboard? :duck:
Should I just suck it up and get the Whitefox? Gateron Yellow not available on Massdrop, though :duck:

Any ideas? Thanks :)

Get a programmable 60% PCB, it will cost less than a Pok3r and will have way more features. This way you leave intact the Ducky PCB and you don't "damage" a limited edition.
Whitefox is the better way but it's also more expensive :)

As a multiple programmable 60% boards owner I can tell you that wouldn't touch a commercial keyboard like Pok3r not even with a 10ft stick

A good choice would be http://winkeyless.kr/product/b-face-x2-pcb/ for a PCB, and together with the alu case it would make a killer keyboard 8-)

@DanielT: I see that you recommended a winkeyless.kr PCB. Could you comment on how the winkeyless PCB compares with a 60% PCB from GON?

The first problem with GON's stuff is the fact that if you order something the wait list can be sometimes months ...
Winkeyless.kr boards can be programmed both on Windows and OSX, GON programmer works only on Windows.
From features both offer pretty the same things, winkeyless.kr boards have also RGB support now.
One plus for GON over winkeyless.kr would be the fact that you could use TMK and in that case you would have the best keyboard, but that involves flashing a new bootloader and the risk of bricking the PCB...

Bottom line : if you don't want to wait a long time, want a good quality PCB and don't feel like experimenting with flashing controllers winkeyless.kr boards are very nice. And at least you can program them also on OSX, and the app is really nice and easy to use. Would be cool to have one also for Linux but whatever.
