Here is one of the first pictures I took of my HHKB, it's really bad quality, but it has all the love and good intentions to make up for it.
RIP Matte black Brobot, you shall be missed.

What happened to him, did his face wear off?

He was traded away for another. But he will always be in my heart. <3

122-Key Terminal Model M 1389162. Made into ANSI by Phosphorglow. His new Colossus controller is in it and my son uses it now! Amazing keyboard!
102-Key Terminal Model M 1392595. This is the current keyboard I am using on my main computer.
Put a controller from a 1391401 inside and put a LED panel and LED's on it. It's great!

Nice relegendable papers you made there!

Actually, they were pre-installed.
I think by the Ebay seller, because Youtube and Facebook buttons don't make much sense for this kind of keyboard.

I like the fact that it has a large trackball (nice orange!) but it looks awkward to use. Where would you rest your hand/wrist?

Good point. Crazy Skidata "ergonomics"!

Also, the Trackball is of low quality. The ball feels flimsy and the buttons are far from tactile.

That's too bad, but you get a crazy cool color combination.

Everytime I see the pictures of this I feel bad about using it for parts. I will definitely want one for collection purposes in the future.

Finally reassembled the Chicony with SMK Blues.
Still todo: find replacement F9 key, desolder and clean switches, and retrobright the case.

Thanks photekq ! Actually it had some anodizing issue with it.
How about vintage black?

I think I might try some Gateron blacks in it

Yeah it has alps mounts, and I have an AT101W with an F9 that I might take for now, just need to clean that board and see how well it matches. With how clean the caps are on this board I'll probably be looking for as close a match as I can get.
But thanks for the offer!

Sounds great. Heard quite lots of good comments about it and much cheaper too.

I finally assembled my Phantom after having bought the PCB over a year ago! I'm still waiting for a case, but meanwhile I put some cardboard underneath it. I used Gateron Clears for this build and as I'm typing on them right now, they are really super light, maybe too light.

On the top right is my FaceU and on the top left my Qtronix QX-032, all with Cherry PBT keycaps and some others to add colour.

Nice, looks pretty good even without the case (did you get the qfr?). Wanted to try the gateron clears, but 35g actuation really does sound light.

No, unfortunately I didn't get the QFR as I somehow missed the auction, stupid me! But with the black winkey blockers the black Filco case I'm waiting for will look better anyhow.
The Gateron Clears are actually quite nice, now that I've typed on them a bit, its like typing on feathers. I have some Gateron Browns I'd like to test on this board as well and also some heavier springs and stickers, but that has to wait.

Spelling "DESKTHORITY" out in those caps would be gorgeous. They have exactly the right font...
