Bbrotha wrote:Oh yes, got it now, they'll definitely provide more stability as you will have two screws on it. I guess an aluminum feet like the ones from gon are needed to provide a better grip to the surface or some kind of stoppers to avoid movement.
Both are ideal. Stoppers in the front to stop screws from hitting the table, and feet in the back.

Why not both? Cut an hexagonal hole through your center layers to fit the spacer into, then secure the top and bottom to the middle through those. It'd provide a very sturdy mount since the layers can't shift at all and they're being clamped from both sides.
Those McMaster binding posts linked above look like a decent solution also.
Good idea. And the hexagon holes would prevent the hex standoffs from slipping while tightening the screws.

I wouldn't mind helping with the CAD drawing for a mid section. But this is wafflepc's deal. I will defer to him on this.

Ill render a new one right now actually... Once the buy is over and someone wants to make a mid piece buy separately ill send them the files with Joey Quinns permission. Shipping date is udetermined but probably late this month or next month.

A few updates though. If you have ever got something shipped from the us to the EU and you know it is ridiculously expensive, for example, netherlands to us is like $60, you have to add on that much money minus $15.

I'm a fresh face here at DT so I don't think I'd be the best to head up a gb for the mid plates. But if anyone wants to take it on, I am willing to help out with the CAD drawings.
