I hope this comes up as a DVD or on TV some time. I'd so like to see that. But I think most Broadway plays don't.

I have seen DVDs of it out there, as part of a compilation. Alan Rickman was in the segment for 'Play' its called "Beckett on Film"

Stewart/McKellen was West End, not Broadway, and there is an early 2000's film that isn't bad, if I recall. Check your local theaters--it comes up with relative frequency, in spite of the Beckett estate being an absolute horror to deal with.

I first heard of those two doing the play last decade, most likely in London. They were evidently still performing it in New York just a few months ago:

Makes you wonder what kind of audiences they've had over the years. In Britain, it would be packed with theatre fans who know them both from their long careers of top stage work. In America, there were probably a few more Trek and Tolkien fans in addition!

Huh. Missed that. Would have been cool, although Pinter and Beckett on the same night will drive anyone to the bottle (or worse...).

BOROMIR: Well? Shall we go?
ARAGORN: Yes, let's go.
(They do not move.)

I didn't like the Lord of the Rings movies much at all. Not enough existential crisis, and too much resolution. Also the musical numbers weren't up to much. Did have commendable beardage, though.

But trees throw rocks? You just can't get that anywhere else!

I liked the bit where the Ewok chorus sung from their homes in the branches as the trees stomped forth into battle.

But I might have been slightly asleep at that point in the film…

I agree; the Rankin-Bass version is far superior.

Yep. 7bit said to chillax, as he'll be there with their caps in a minute.

So gutted I missed out on this GB, just started putting together my second mech and this would have been the perfect keyset for it. Gonna have to stalk the marketplace looking for anyone selling the alphas and numerics in white now. I'm guessing there's no chance of a second run?

It's 7bot's fault. Lack of deadlines.

@Dotty: Looked through the leftovers, I presume?

I'll probably have some Round 5 to sell when I get mine. I went on a gotta catch 'em all spree. Doesn't mean I should keep 'em all, though!

Yeah I checked, I could almost piece together the 60% ISO set I need but it'd be in fairly mismatched colours and with the wrong legends for the numericals. And ooh, let me know if you have a spare set of alphas and numericals in white, I'd happily take them off your hands haha.

Nope. Not yet. Just trading orders, not caps!

Speaking of which, my JD40 kit is likely up for grabs…

Does anyone know how many blank POS caps (BLANK/R3U200P/GREY) and blank white 1 unit caps (BLANK/R2U100/WHITE / BLANK/R4U100/WHITE) are left in the leftovers?

Posted: 14 Jul 2014, 22:28
by RaleghDirat
From my status of 2014.07.07:
BLANK/R3U200P/GREY - 8
BLANK/R2U100/WHITE - 4
BLANK/R4U100/WHITE - 2

Better you send 7bot an order to get the current status.

When this is done I may have numericals over(depends what you are looking for), but have to wait until i have them in front of me.
