425,000 orders, 50,000 switches? I don't know how that would work out!

He should respond soon enough. All invoices should be out though, I'd confirm that it was sent to the right address

I'll message him again when he's online to make sure it gets changed. Since he sent it I can't change anything unfortunately

It's been well over a month since my post on this tread and still haven't got a replay back from Shadovved from my pm, I been waiting patiently for a response and I fell like Shadovved just took the money and not deliver the goods or am I jumping to conclusions?

He already got the switches and sent most of them out. Have a look at the thread over at Geekhack and maybe contact him there.

Mine arrived yesterday! Everything was fine. I sort of wish I'd ordered more blues instead of browns now, though.

I actually don't know... I didn't get a choice!

I got my shipping notice yesterday so I'm guessing a couple of weeks before mine turn up. Which is good as I'm in an odd position (for me) where I don't have any boards that are waiting for switches...I'm probably going to stick some of mine in the sprit 75% I've been waiting 18 months for whenever that turns up, no idea what I'm going to do with the other couple of hundred :D.

I got my shipping notice on Friday or something and mine are here already. No idea what to do with mine either! I'll need to order a Korean PCB at some point...

Oh wow, thats crazy quick!

What did you go for? How are you finding them? Is the hype real? Can I think of any more questions to ask?

I've got clears, browns and blacks on the way; clears are just for the stems though as I think I'd probably activate a 35gm switch by breathing near it...

Actually I got the shipping confirmation on the 24th, so it only took 4 days, including a weekend!

I went for 100 blacks, 100 browns, and 5 each of blues and clears for comparison. I'm really impressed with them all. I'll go through them each in turn:

Blacks: Quite smooth, smoother than MX blacks. Feels like roughly the same bottom-out force as a Cherry MX black.
Browns: More tactile than an MX brown for sure. Less scratchy than MX brown too. I'd have to try a full keyboard of them to be sure. I've got one MX brown, one Gateron brown and one unnamed clone from techkeys.us, and the Gateron feels the best.
Blues: Again, has a more tactile and "deep" click than MX blues. I don't like MX blues too much, but I'd like to use a full board of these.
Clears: I'm not sure if it's the spring deceiving me, but these might be even slightly smoother than the Gateron blacks. Makes me wish I'd taken 100 clears since I'll be doing a spring swap anyway. These are really nice. I think that my visual inspection of the switch might've actuated it, so a spring swap is definitely necessary.

All in all, I think the hype is probably a bit exaggerated (OH MY GOD THESE ARE THE ULTIMATE SWITCH BETTER THAN VINTAGE BLACKS NO WAIT THEY ARE BETTER THAN NIXDORFS AHHHH) but they're still very nice.

I got some Gaterons reds a couple of months ago and have to agree that they are nice switches for the price, but again I don't really think the hype is all to be believed.

And FWIW I think mine arrived today! I sent them to my Dad's and he just sent me text saying I got a package from Singapore. For reference mine where also posted on the 24th, were just sent airmail registered and were being sent to Scotland.

Cool, thanks for that both.

Where did you get the reds like just out of interest? I'm now thinking of doing another variable weighted linear deal...

I am working on a Wiki article on the Gateron switches. It will come up once I have the product numbers down...

Edit: According to hwood34, the switches in this group buy are Gateron KS-3 series. I compiled info about them from reviews and Massdrop and put up a wiki page about them. Unfortunately, no datasheet for them seems to be available.

Apparently, the switches that have a ring around the base of the stem are Gateron KS-1 series, for which I also created a separate Wiki article. Photos of the datasheet exist (check a link from a reference in the article) but I can't translate from Chinese.

I got the reds from Taobao:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z ... 8eagph4deb
and I bought them through Bhiner (would recommend), and the total was $27 for 90 switches with $9 shipping (around £23).
I have a couple spare if you want a couple to try out? PM me if you're interested.

My order arrived yesterday.
Enough to build one Katy keyboard from each switch kind.
Then I'll know which switch I like the most :)

Switches came today .

The browns feel really nice, clears and blacks are about what I expected.

Lots to play with tonight, Mrs has friends over so I'm unshackled :D.

Yes, the Gateron browns feel more tactile than MX browns. It would be interesting to compare them to ergo Clears.

I have ergo clears on my ergodox, I'll do a bit of a comparison later.
