woohoo! switches arrived this morning, just before I left for school. Now have one each with me, and they are very interesting. The tactile switches are nice with the dampening, as they aren't damped only on the way down. But they have two tactile bumps, one when the tactile leaf is passed, one when the contact leaf is passed by the slider. If it only had one bump it would be better.

I'll know more when I'm home and find the time to solder them into a board.

7bit, could you please check whether you've shipped my alps order #MX0183?
Payment's been marked as received ages ago - this invoice number had been reused by the system from a previous MX switch order, maybe that caused it to be overlooked?
thanks!

Thanks for checking. Wonder if that Post-Streik last week has anything to do with it.

Hey RC, I checked your observation ind it appears to me that this is not true for all the sitches. Some do bottom out before passing the second bump, which make them feel more linear.
BTW, mine arrived more than a week ago

Just wondering if all the switches have been shipped since neighboring countries already received them some time ago apparently, but so far nothing here ^^

Just received my Matias's's.
They're making an intriguing first impression.

Thanks 7bit.

Received my order in a bag full of surprises :) Thanks 7bit!

The clicky ones are nice, the silent switches... meh...

Mine arrived on Friday — confused the hell out of me, wondered what on earth some random bloke in Germany had sent me, and why.

The silent ones are pretty decent to type on. They're a bit iffy, but they're a passable poor man's Topre :)

Sorry, but shipping of switches which re-start next week. I can't pack switches while the table is still full of boxes with key caps for the DUMMY kits.

Also, I see you only ordered 5 each!

Don't worry, I'll order a full set once I decided which one I like better. I only have one ALPS keyboard right now :?

Will ALPS be sent together with Cherry MX if I preordered them?

Posted: 28 May 2013, 20:00
by 7bit
Yes, but I can also ship them ahead along with the Round 4 order and the DUMMY kit!

I've updated the first post.

The preorder is not available anymore as they are in stock.
