Here's a quick top down photo. I know it's dark, but it's a dark day and I'm having difficulty getting a shot without glare on the keycaps.

I think it does a good job of showing the font!

Interrestingly, the fonts don't differ from the D400 as much as I previously thought (except the numbers, which have obviously different characters).

Overlaying the images and looking at the characters side by side, these are the main differences I spot:
  • Different squiggle on the Q
  • Tighter bend on the J
  • Tighter kerning around the I in SHIFT
  • Round vs flat top on the 3
  • Pointy vs flat corners on the 4
  • Slightly different curve on the 7
  • Slashed vs open 0
  • Smaller dot and longer vertical piece on the ?
  • Straight vs leaning/italicized &
  • Larger/roomier #
I suspect most of the differences of the main alphas could be attributed to the font being engraved in differently-shaped molds? Special characters and numbers really seem to be different though.

Nice comparison. Yours is a European keyboard though. I wonder what the US version of the D400 looks like.
