If I buy expensive keycaps like this I would not want them to shine after some time. 10 years is another thing but shine on keycaps is ugly I think.

I bought a used CM Quickfire Rapid and it has a frosty flake controller installed. The F9s LED is always on and I do not know how to turn it off. Any ideas how I can find out how to disable or how to turn the LED off?

Those went out of production in mid 1980's so good luck with that... but if you are determined you can probably find some. I have a ducky keyboard with brown switch and I am really happy with it. In a shop I tried razer blackwidow 2014 stealth edition and I really like the sound and the feel.
