My research informs me the phantom tkl is a good choice, affordable and nice. I generally don't go for such large keyboards but I think it will be nice. I'm having trouble finding any cases though, do you know anywhere to buy cheap cases or should I buy some wood and screws? Also, is the teensy 3.2 ...

Best MX keyboard to replace the controller for a unix keyboard?
The title summarizes it pretty nicely - I've been running a HHKB and I adore the layout but I'm not a topre lover - I'd prefer a MX board. What keyboards are easy to replace the controller on, plain looking with PBT caps? I'm agnostic on formfactor and which MX switch is utilized.

Oh no the plums do still use rubber domes except they are so light you don't feel any tactility. They just collapse very lightly. They are much smoother than reds and have a softer landing if you bottom out. I personally hate reds, and blacks more so. They wont be your cup of tea if you like heavy ...

Get a plum 35g topre clone, there's literally no tactility at all. It's just a very smooth linear switch.
That's cool, I didn't realize they were non-domed capacitive switches. I thought they were just literal clones. How do you rate the feeling in comparison to red and black? I prefer a heavier ...

alright, I have dental banded my hhkb. It's a sidegrade. The sound is mostly improved, it's really rather quiet now, but it also has a touch of reverb where before there was none. I'm not sure what the cause is on that front, it may have just been I didn't notice it. To an extent I liked the snappy ...

New layout! UNIX 105 key.
Hai guys, I made a layout! My first iteration was a HHKB for ISO keys, but here is a full 105 key: http://prntscr.com/g29hdw
Please take a look and tell me what you think! The idea is that it offers full ISO functionality while retaining the best bits of ANSI - Enter, shift, and the best bits of ...

ahah, I'll keep you in mind bro.
Idk, My opinion on topre swings like the wind. It is in theory most of the things I dislike the most in a keyswitch -
short throw, lumpy feeling, very low weight to the bottom... but at the same time sometimes I don't utterly despise it. I never like it though. And ...

Re: Should I buy a HHKB
I mean, I'm still using it, but topre irritates me. And I notice it more over time.

Yeh, it would be fine if my mobo or case had USB 2 but both are 3 only

Re: Just some pics of an old HHKB.
Also the pro's drivers gave me trouble on install, I had to burn the windows default drivers and jump various hoops to get it working.
Never experienced this issue before, did this happen on every machine you connected the pro 2 to or just one? Just the one, but I will caveat that by saying it was ...
