You can often use any warranty site you want, but the closest one might be at a ridiculous distance to care to go in the process.

I think the UK distributor and similarly but at a lesser extend the American one are selling them at a high premium.

I suspect they have to in order to make a profit ...

your finger falls naturally on the key.
Is that original research? It sounds logical at first, but as far as I know the hands should play at least a small part in moving around, which is also one of the reasons hands should be hovering and not resting, making the fingertip movement more linear on ...

I think those just sell to 3 countries in the area. Not really EU distribution.

I think there is a misunderstanding. Best for touch typing might not be best anatomically. Well, at least according to some doctors.

What is certain is that traditional touch typing technique is definitely not the most relaxing for prolonged periods. e.g. resting my hands like a pig inefficiently ...

I recently bought a 24 inch IPS panel for 200 euros, which was even considered expensive but I was too impatient to get it from a local dealer it had it in stock.

So it's another argument to prevent me from giving more than 100 to 150 euros on a keyboard. The monitor is incredible and top quality ...

Well, you know, the traditional touch typing technique requires a flat keyboard at the right height and so on and so forth, or even inclined but still at a perfectly anatomical position.

But most real humans can't really always keep the keyboard at the perfect position - e.g. I have a book at its ...

How do you get this figure?
When one tries to look at it from EU. American options look better.

I used that number more like a figure of speech and not a hard number but when I was looking at Leopold's Topre it was netting 130 euros on their Korean shop and other options were netting more than ...

What this company needs to 'release' is at first a proper distributor for the EU market.

Not even the American market seems covered efficiently.

(efficient = the stock not running out every few days and the prices not being 60%+ higher than Japan/Korea'Asia's)

Metal plates are awesome. They create better sounds. Is that why Leopold's Topre sounds the best in all youtube videos I've noticed?

I don't care about Topre to be honest. I care about good keyboards. And the arguments about shitty keyboards with open IP collapse with that reasoning.

Now, if you want to talk about Topre's profits, I'm not sure what they are doing now is even ideally profitable. Notice only 1 or 2 other makers ...

As I said the doomsday scenarios are silly. The fact IBM opened the PC technology and form factor to the world did make a few shitty PCs that exist to this day. But that never excluded the possibility of good PCs.

You're basically searching deep in your mind to find the worst example, grab it and ...

The fact one keyboard would be nasty, doesn't mean you have to go out of your way, put your hand in your pocket and buy it.

It reminds of the political anti-arguments about guns: "if an armed robbery can happen while something is illegal then surely no laws are needed at all!".

Just because ...

I doubt that qc is more ..quality than that on MX switches. I personally find zero problems of qc on Cherry. Their design is such, and the result is what the design dictates. e.g. The main problem I find on them is the inherent scratchiness and that's why I oil them, but that's completely unrelated ...

They get profits, sure, but their policy gives the impression that they are pushing the extends of their monopoly on the patent to the furthest possible. The result is that some rich (or poor but foolish) people will buy them, no questions asked, but the policy appears so aggressive that I think it ...

MX is a good idea. If their mass production is relatively 'market price fair' now then it's most likely that Topre would drop to lower levels. Perhaps not necessarily to MX levels, but those $250 keyboards just sound silly in value over money.

I doubt Leopold makes switches in China. They are ...

It matters a lot in my opinion since a lot of people like them but they keep being treated by their mother company in a very secluded manner. They are forced to be made in Japan, they can be afforded only by two other makers and they are generally treated like a luxury item. I seriously doubt they ...

When will the Topre Patent expire?

I noticed the two patents found on Google Patents are both published in 1986 and with filing dates of 1984 and 1982.
