I would reply to the whole keycap mold response by saying that just because doubleshots are an option does not mean you have to use them. You can easily just go with dye-sub PBT if that means that the keycap set for your own product is complete. It's effectively just as durable, nobody will wear ...

The only issues that Ive seen that are notable are:
- Not replacing parts that are physically damaged and just telling the customer to use a PAINT PEN. That's just insane to me. This product is $400+ and we're told to use a paint pen on a part that arrived to us damaged.

Can't wait for my B122 to arrive! But, in the meantime, I figured I'd share some info with everyone who might have had the same problem as me when it came to finding keycaps for the board.
The F13-F24 keys and the 10-key macro cluster on the board don't officially have any keycaps in the set that ...

Update:
I just noticed while putting the board back together that it actually has either a solenoid or a buzzer to receive status codes from the computer. Too bad the keyboard doesn't actually work when i plug it in, so I wouldn't be able to showcase it.

Interesting. Are you sure those are Keytronics? They look similar but the inside well of the slider isn't usually that smooth. They look a bit more like the KT dome with sliders I have.
Well, you never can be too sure if they're not just some knockoff clone switch I suppose. But the switches ...

Yellows are great. Really I think the whole first gen SKCM/SKCL being better than all the newer stuff is a bit overblown.. Condition matters far more than anything. I'll take a clean white alps board over a dirty blue alps board any day of the week.

Does anyone know what this is, or at least what switches it uses? To me it looks to be some variant of F/Fs or domes.
The keyboard has no ID or serial number on the outside, and the seller has no idea what it is besides the obvious Harris manufacturer.

Should I? It's $90 + 25 shipping. I'm 99% sure its rubber domes but that old wireless transmitter and the layout are so cool!

Another eBay purchase. Very expensive but overall I like it. I was sorta bummed out at first that it didn't come with greens, but I've found that I like yellows and don't think their weighting is particularly overpowering for me.

Sound test for anyone curious:

P.S. Soaking the switch modules in soapy water did not fix the binding issues. Might lube these if I ever get this thing converted to USB someday.

Found this on Ebay, couldn't resist picking it up. It's in relatively good condition; a couple dents and scratches on the top case, but that's basically inevitable with these boards since their top cases are just painted plastic. The biggest win was no rust on the metal parts.

To be honest, could be both. Might be worth checking out whether or not you can wax-boil the switches (depends on the type and generation of ALPS you have in your board). This method is known to restore the keyfeel almost perfectly and is very simple.
I would just take them out and clean them ...

There is the slight oddity of a 2u escape key at the top leftAndyJ wrote: 16 Sep 2024, 14:58 Interesting layout. Just a standard keyboard with the alpha block split and re-clocked. Most manufacturers seem to go for weirdball styling or oddball key placements as well as the ergo split.

Thanks!
