Re: ABB DSIH80* cleaning
The keyboard is now cleaned and fully assembled. The switch is an Ericsson RMD973 linear switch, scratchiness varies from switch to switch and might be due to wear.
now it is time to put the board in storage or sell it.

Re: PS/2 Keyboard for old PC with high KRO
I own a model F XT from Poland and i have restored it with new foam, I have been thinking about parting with it since it is just collecting dust right now(don't like the Polish layout).
I am looking for a Swedish version instead of using it so it is just sitting there.

Re: ABB DSIH80* cleaning
so far i have cleaned the case with soapy water and will blow all the dust off with compressed air from the boards inside. I am puzzled why it would need 220V power but i guess it would be because the mainframe would be far from the operator room.

ABB DSIH80* cleaning
Ended up finding this old mechanical ABB keyboard from the 80's and it was really dirty from sitting abandoned for more than 20 years in a factory.
The layout is really strange(alphabetical order) plus all the extra keys for that process system.
The switches are some I have never seen before and ...

Bolt mod Model M with M3 bolts??
I'm going to bolt-mod one of my model Ms, do I have to stick to M2x8mm bolts or can I use M3x8mm since it is much easier to get hold of. The hole in the metal backplate is 3mm wide at it's narrowest.

Re: Kailh BOX Jade vs IBM Model M, which one is the loudest??
the model M also varies in loudness trough the years it had been produced but only by a margin. the older ones i have, have the pinging sound of the springs and not as loose fit keys as the later ones witch does not have the spring ping. the older ones seem quieter than the later produce from my ...

Re: Got the wrong orihalcon's DIN to USB converter
Yes i bought trough eBay. I did request return but nothing happened until i got the message that the case had been closed, so I guess I have to live with it. It is now too late anyways.
Either I make my own adapter or buy a correct one from somewhere else.

Got the wrong orihalcon's DIN to USB converter
Hello!
I ordered orihalcon's converter from DIN 5 240 degree to USB, but what arrived was a DIN 5 180 degree to USB and of course the guy doesn't hava a care in the world for his customers, so a return isn't an option.
