For cleaning keyboards I tend to take all the keys off with a puller and just use water with a little bit of dish soap in it. Warm water. Sometimes if I'm lazy ill just let them soak for a couple hours if I am not lazy ill just use an old toothbrush and clean them off manually.

Situations like this benefit from a DPI selector button on the mouse. High DPI for traversing multiple monitors and low DPI for zeroing in on small areas.

I can understand that. I have a dysgraphia which makes my fine muscle control kinda bad so I kinda hate high DPI things. too much twitching for me.

On my eletronics work station I use an old Model M. But my day to day driver is this azio mgk1-k with kalih brown switches.

Switches are switches. Alps and MX are both simple "ohmic" switches (as Xwhatsit calls them, to distinguish them from capacitative switches like Topre). That means they conduct when pressed down, and insulate when they're not. Nothing complex about it.

Are they electrically the same to alps? Cause if its an issue of fitting in the mounting holes you can always buy a pcb drill bit and dril; them to fit. If you can go this route make sure you buy extras cause you will break these bits if you use a hand drill. I use a piece of wood and rest the edge ...

I am differnt I use my right index finger when typing a lot but in games I tend to use my left thumb.

Dunno if anyone has posted this board yet. This is a damn fine Alps switched keyboard. Dell At101w. The older white/beige colured ones use the Salmon switches. These use the Black ones.

This and the Apple one was the 2 best for Alp's designs ...
