Haven't opened it further than this, mostly due to a bad experience opening my first beamspring...and no real secrets inside...probably

What a weird layout. It seems like the designers put in that number block with the big zero key and randomly distributed the keys which were left Nice legends though!

You get used to the lowered shifts quite quickly. Despite having layer functionality in the firmware, I haven't found a nice way to use the embedded numpad yet. The spacebar isn't bothersome at all, at least I find. I have the space-bar 0 mapped to space-bar too (on the default layer), and I occasionally hit it, especially when I'm not centered on the home row. Due to the weird indenting (on J, K and L instead of F and J) I occasionally sit down without looking at the keyboard and start typing garbage. Some might argue I do that regardless of the keyboard or where my hands are.

The solenoid sounds great in this. I think because the mounting is a bit more thorough than in the 5251-style boards.
