Various Fanboy Stickers

We have a cutting table at work, which i want to use for making some stickers. I ordered for now 3 colors of
Premium cast PVC film from Orafol. IBM M Blue, Cherry Red and Green.
I tried to get the best matching color for the IBM Blue:
I think i'll make some M's and some other designs, for the car (composite to the popular Apple sticker everyone has), the laptop, etc. As i see
ducks are popular? Why is that (CC ducky caps, Mr. Webit)? It remains a mystery for me. For example make an IBM styled duck.
If someone wants a sticker, i'm happy to make it. Or some good ideas, not only boring logos.

You mean an IBM Duck?

Something like that, yes!

I would be up for IBM and IBM-duck for sure, if they're cool enough to make!

The ALPS slider shape would be a good, simple design. Sell it in a variety of colours-- green, blue, white, off-white.

I'd be up for some IBM and cherry stickers, too.

Nice! I would love to get some Topre stickers. Would you consider ordering another colour if I reimbursed you the cost?

I wanted to do also Topre stickers, i think it's just a darker blue? I didn't really find anything regarding the correct color, only some logo images.

I think it's more of like a faded Cadbury purple?

That's really a purple touch!
These are the available colors.
I tried to find a similar color (it's not really accurate, but more or less you'll see what you get).

Ohh nice - for me it's a toss-up between 196 and 406 -- leaning more toward 196. Which do you prefer?

by Madhias
I'd also say 196!

The logo on their website currently is more blue:

The first one is probably the closest.

Hmm you might be right actually, having looked at their website. It doesn't help when a Google search on Topre logo yields quite a few different shades.

The one above is from the wiki, and I took that from an actual Topre PDF, so it looks like Topre aren't too fussed about the exact shade. (At some point I should really redo that logo as SVG.) Google Images suggests a dark blue that is also fairly close to the first image.

Topre SVG?
Edit: Boredom makes a Topre-IBM mix.

That's funny, and now put the Cherries aside

IBM Cherry Topre?
Cherry IBM in red?
In blue?
Cherry Topre?
Eh, this is getting a tad ridiculous.

Haha! I like the first one. Three heavyweights in one. If only we could get Alps in there somehow.

Haha, that's hilarious!

Oval like the old Alps logo had?

Posted: 28 Jun 2014, 09:42
by 002
I think that would only work if you had the letters fill out the oval like the Alps one does.
I like the old Alps logo, too

The Alps logo is g-r-e-a-t!

That's perfect. I'd buy that as a badge and put it on a keyboard.

Almost. The gaps are too narrow ;-)

How do pvc film stickers work? They have a transparent background? White? No background? It sets limitations, e.g. check the D of deskthority here:
The IBM style logos would be hard with no background?
