Even though the Dreamcast the only console you will even need

The Dreamcast was great but wow were they temperamental with the whole random reset issue. The bent pin trick worked for a little while but they always died in the end

Lemons. And sometimes, when a flaw is ubiquitous, you randomly find the opposite.

My gamer friend bought the 360 when it first came out, and was incredulous about all the red ring of death stuff he kept hearing as the epidemic took hold. But his 360 was fine! What's the problem? Sounds like a load of FUD! He was just lucky. Two or three years in, his 360 got it bad, and then he quickly burned through three replacements at Microsoft's expense before switching whole hog to the PS3.

Thank Microsoft's lucky stars they have the Xbox empire. Maybe when Windows is dead, it'll finally turn a profit big enough to dig itself out of the red ring's hole. Consoles are still booming, right? Just look at Nintendo…

i, too, got lucky with one of the "good ones". unfortunately it's on another continent in an attic right now instead of being played by someone who would appreciate it
