To commemorate the 3rd Annual Deskthority Awards, I'm going to completely take over the Photos & Videos column on the frontpage


To start, something from the Soviet Bloc, the Izot CM 1604.M3

The switch, sorta crappy linear, looks like a Cherry clone, right down to the gold cross-points.
And even has a model number! 0125A.
And before you freak out, yes, the colors mean absolutely nothing...

Ah, I was wondering when I'd get to see those switches revealed!

Interestingly, the logo on the top of keyboard is written in large lowercase. More peculiarly, they've written "izot" in italics and then de-tilted it. That is, "izot" is "изот", but "izot" is "изот", and they've used these italic forms and reversed them back to upright.

The switch is indeed a pretty faithful clone of the [wiki]Cherry M9[/wiki]. Ironically, we now have better photos of the clone than we do any real M9. (Someone was going to be sending me one or two M9s ... not sure what happened to that.)

Oh, I thought those were already taken (otherwise I would have included it in this batch ).

I'll put the M9's back on my list of things that should have pictures sooner rather than later. Might be able to get to them this week (sorta busy because it's US Thanksgiving this week).
