(Flicker is going down today this evening, so images might not be available till morning).

This keyboard (well the switches), I've been search for it for 2-3 years now, and only just managed to get one. A Fujitsu Leaf Spring Gen 1. I managed to snatch it from the hands of my ebay arch-nemesis b***a earlier this year (I've yet to figure out their identify).

I was quite surprised, but these switches feel even nicer than the Gen 2's, even when they were really dirty. However, I have yet another keyboard that has even better linear switches. Pics when I get around to it 8-)

Read mah wiki http://deskthority.net/wiki/Fujitsu_Leaf_Spring for patents.

I'll be copying all my albums to Flickr though my Picasa albums will stay where they are.

Argh! It's the AntiHaaTa!

Colourful, thick, tall sphericals. Oh yeah, that's the stuff. Did the ABS mines run dry or something in the decades since then? How things have fallen.

Keen again for audio/video of these rarities. That's how the rest of us live vicariously, you know. Thanks for the pics!

Is this sufficient? Haven't taken too many videos with my smartphone, I guess I could use my GoPro if you want 60fps or 4k

It's fine, thanks! Stills are for the details, video is for the feel.

Man, that keyboard's smooth. Perhaps the Honeywell I've tried needs lubed, because that looks to be a much better linear action you have there. Even outside its flimsy, echoing case, the Honeywell is not as slick. It's nice, but now I know better. All from a little video!

That's a real beauty!

I was amused to see your arch-nemesis named; the same guy has beat me out of several interesting keyboards as well. Wanker.

Still not sure who this guy (I'm currently thinking a museum entity buyer).

I made one unsuccessful attempt to contact...

Hmm. Is there really a museum for obscure keyboards? And has a budget to go out and get them? I think it's more likely you have a direct rival, HaaTa. A secretive nemesis!

I could just be biased by my dealings with museums over here. They're all permanently skint, and the few I know turn more freebies down for the fear of having to look after them than the number of items they actually buy. There's usually a public fundraiser explicitly for good stuff, with the deal done long before the money shows up. But perhaps things are different over there.

Still rings of a personal stash to me, though.

When I was still on eBay, there was a guy like that, he was everywhere. A seller clarified to me: it was a Japanese shopping service, there was no single guy. I.e. the nemesis is just a figment of your imagination and is probably just a Korean/Chinese/Japanese shopping service.

Makes sense. Still, it'd be nice to see where the keyboards go. I don't really care who gets them as long as the keyboards get properly documented.

Now, what's interesting is that the buyer doesn't just do keyboards but other random old hardware as well.

When you win, do you sound like this at the end of the video?
