Hi everybody,
I would like to have the measures of a wire key puller, exactly the wire part, as I dont have any key puller, and I would like to build one with hardened wire I have around. Does any of you have the one that can keep up to 3 or 4 keycaps, I dont remember where I have seen this. I need to know measures the flat part that goes under the keycap. And It would be great to know your opinions about it, if you think it is ok or it will be better to make smaller or bigger.
Thank you people.

shouldn't the flat part just be wide enough to fit around a keycap? if it's any broader it won't go do down between the desired cap and the ones besides it.
I hope it makes sense.

Thank you for response, I have been experimenting with some lengths, and apart the obvious point I wanted to know if key puller is smaller than the keycap, because as far as I have seen it is used turning the keypuller once is put under the keycap and if it is exactly as the keycap length I think it wont work ok. But If I dont have any input I will keep bending wires but they are tough as m*** fu***. They are 1mm thick and hard to bend and cut.Broadmonkey wrote:shouldn't the flat part just be wide enough to fit around a keycap? if it's any broader it won't go do down between the desired cap and the ones besides it.

My Cherry KC001 puller has 16mm inside bend to bend dimension on the section that goes under the keycap.
