Group Buy Has Ended! Thanks. :)

Greetings! I've started a group buy for the sets below. Deadline is March 18th, 8am CST. (updated from March 15th)

Shipping is $7 to the US and $17 to everywhere else. Because USPS raised the prices so much for International Priority Flat Rate, we've decided to do first class mail to make it less expensive.

I can only take orders via PayPal at this time. I apologize if PayPal isn't available where you live.

Thanks for your interest and please let me know if I can answer any questions. :)

I've messaged aggiejy on geekhack about ISO keys, if you guys can make comparisons to the DCA set we maybe could get some additions to this within reason :)

As I mentioned to dirge, I'd be very happy to help out if I can. But according to my calculations with the current 8 key set, they're already priced possibly at a loss depending on volume. (A little loss is okay.) So I doubt we have much room to work, but I'm willing to look into it.

Assuming there are enough UK ISO users interested, perhaps this?

BUT, the big question is if SP has the legends in that same style (to match the rest of the number row mainly). Does anyone happen to know the answer to that?

I'm open to suggestions. I'd also be happy to cross promote a suplemental group buy of international sets. (I'm keep my group buy like it is... if any changes happen it'll be within the ISO set.)

These sets are gorious, but I am afraid they would look awkward on my black Filco TKL.

Also, are there only one window/tux/command key per set ?

This looks really nice!

I bet people who are into meteorology would love this!

Correct. You get one of each, though I'd imagine it won't be too hard to swap or buy an extra from someone else if you want one. Mac users give to windows users give to linux users give to mac users... etc.

Sent you a message about the [ \,| ] key next to short left shift :) but 7bit may have already had the legends made in round4 ?

Yeah, I think you are right. The Retro and Noir kits looks like they're the same size and such as I've mocked up. (My mockups aren't exact of course.) I'll look into what those extra 5 keys will add.

Nice set, Sir!

An EU-language kit would be even nicer. The legends are definitely available for DCS family.

I think you can take away all the ones who are just different on the third/fourth legend:

You mean with the dedicated website for orders? I had something similar in mind too. :P

I live on the Isle of Man, so I'd need one that was dark grey on light grey...

It's windy too, so some of the letters would need to be misaligned or wonky.

They should be around .50/key to add to your ISO kit if it holds stable with what I was quoted to do the same with klaxon. Also, they can double shot the others so they wouldn't be blank, too.

Ok, it did a quick "render" of what it could look like on a black TKL and it actually does look pretty nice and I think I will order one.

Does this group buy have any MOQ ?

I'm interested but unfamiliar with past prices. are those reasonable?

It is standard for doubleshot keys. You can compare with Round4 prices, the price for a tenkeyless kit are pretty much the same (depending on options etc. in the group buy)

Doubleshot keyscaps are indeed very expensive if you compare them to regular ABS keycaps (around 30 USD or so for a full Filco cap set) or even PBT keycaps (around 50 USD for a full KBC set).

FYI, the deadline has been extended from tomorrow (March 15th) until Monday morning at 8am on March 18th. I'm traveling, so this shouldn't delay the order process at all... just gives a little more time if anyone needs it. :)

The group buy is over now. I do apologize for not being able to work out some better ISO options. As it turns out, it wasn't a huge volume group buy and the numbers just weren't there to do much more. Either way, thanks to those that placed an order. :)
