Hello. I've been a member at geekhack since 09, and though I've never had any problems there... Well, it sure has changed.
I figure it's about time I join here. Didn't see a new member area, so I'm posting in off topic.
I like MX clears best so far and that puts me in a rather small minority. I also like trackballs. I look forward to reading and posting here.

Hm...I was under the impression that clears and trackballs are quite popular. Anyhow, welcome!

Maybe they are now. I remember the olden days when they weren't even readily available outside Germany. And then several unfavorable reviews complaining about springs being 'too heavy' and tactility being 'too round and imprecise' or something like that.
Trackballs have been much more popular within this community than in real life.
I'll have to borrow a camera. I'll see what I can do.
Fossala, I have not had the opportunity to try buckling springs yet. I tend to be broke most of the time, but it's next on the list. Membrane, that is.

Don't waste your money on the membrane version (model M) go for the real thing (model F). It's like night and day. It's a shame though because everytime I type on model M's now I just feel meh.

Maybe I should work up to it. It would feel wrong to be disappointed with a model M from the very beginning.
