Finally this is the first online shop known to me which is offering that board in Germany. Could somebody give me an honest oppinion about it considering the quality (including the keycaps: which type are they?) and the price?

I'm thinking about getting a new keyboard and this one and the Ducky G2PRO (perhaps with set of white PBT blanks) are my current favorites.

Thanks for your advise!

Hi all,
due to the lack of response but most of all my personal impatience to get the new board, I decided to order the Leopold and I hope it is going to arrive tomorrow :) . Perhaps I find some time to do a review about it after the first testing.

They're certainly reputable, though I've never used one. I think the keycaps are lasered? You can read all about them here at and at Geekhack.

EliteKeyboards list them in ANSI for $89 (€70), which with tax and domestic shipping works out at $107, or €84, compared to €119 from GetDigital. It's certainly on the cheaper end of the scale, though not as cheap as the QuickFire Rapid, but they don't seem to suffer for it.

Shipping from EK to Germany works out at €114, but you'd pay import duty on top of that. And you wouldn't get ISO. If you want ISO, your options are pretty limited. No Pure/Race/Poker/Korean custom boards, no Ducky, no CM Storm QuickFire Rapid … No Leopold until very recently, too. At least Matias do ISO boards! I'd be really cheesed off otherwise.

In my case, I wanted Cherry clears, and the only way to get those in ISO was to buy a G80-3000 from Germany, so now I have a crazy German keyboard layout keyboard :-P

That's quite funny :-D. So the problem with the different layouts has an impact on both sides.
Ducky is available with ISO, but it's only the Nordic layout and not DE.

Originally I wanted a FC700R tenkeyless, but that's only with ANSI. But maybe if I decide to get another board.....

The ISO FC500R arrived here yesterday. So far I consider it a great improvement regarding the overall quality, and I get to like the MX browns. Nevertheless, I still miss the handwrist I got with my QPAD but some more time will clear out that strange feeling I suppose.

Thank you for your information and calculation of total prices for board and shipping from the US, Daniel Beardsmore! Very nice to get such a detailed response to my question
