I don't have one to sell you, but I can tell you that my son, a gamer, loves his.
After going through a few keyboard interations (during ages 8?-15?), including good rubber domes, buckling springs, black and white Alps, and blue and brown Cherries, he/we settled on this keyboard with stock black Cherry switches and thin soft O-rings.
That was 8-10 years ago and there have not been any complaints since. Personally, I don't game and dislike linear switches, but I can verify that is a sturdy and dependable keyboard.

I’ve got an ANSI Majestouch 2 with “silent reds” I’m not particularly fond of. You could probably talk me out of clutching hold of that one a lot more easily than my 87 U.

I’m spoiled. The Filco's a well-built board, nice standard ANSI layout, snappy stabs, and plenty of choice for caps. But I’m used to Topre and Model F, so I can't help feeling MX's inherent
scratchiness…
To actually mod those switches, I'd have to desolder the whole board, which is too much bother for my taste.

as you should !
I personally use(d) Gateron Oil Kings and Durock L2´s and wow. So buttery smooth, its insane. The only thing that I´ve tried that was smoother was a Wooting

Does anyone refer to Gateron's and Kailh's many switches as "MX"? I always hear them termed "Box navies" and the (very many, just as specific) like. When I say MX, I always mean Cherry.
What the Filco needs is either a total swap out to smoother, non-Cherry, switches; or ruthlessly lubed; or just a less-picky user who doesn't fussily fondle keys as I do.

Fact, I may end up re-soldering Filco to mount some good switches on it, like Gateron black ink box.

You're interested in mine, then?
Very lightly used, comes in original box with PS/2 adapter etc. I’ll rummage out the original caps. My Cherry dyesubs aren’t included.

Actually yes. A few people I´ve encountered online refer to all MX style switches as MX. Most of the time, its people that are veeery biased towards some other kind of switch (alps, topre, BS) & who won´t stop touting the supposed supremacy of their chosen platform

I think every Platform has their strengths and weaknesses and I find it a bit boring to limit myself to just one.
That being said, I myself have limited my collection to only alps, topre and BS boards.(Well almost, I own 3 MX style boards)
But thats more of a space
and money saving measure then a matter of taste. I would love to try out a good space invader board, or even a beamer someday.

Ahhh, alright - usually people just categories them by their stem type, and I think it's unfair to call them clones, as they've really improved on Cherry's design for the most part

Yeah, might be interested.
There are loads of those on ebay and reddit, but would prefer buy it from you
If I were going to buy it, it would be to desolder it, as I'm not a fan of reds, especially silent ones.
£45 posted? With original caps please. Oh, and that keyboard cover, I love those!

Cheapskate game recognise game.
Those Gateron ink black switches will cost you a penny, I see, but that’s your business. Indeed, it's one of the reasons I've not bothered to tear that board apart for a much-needed upgrade. I want to see the MX compatible 'endgame', at a nice, dull, normal price.

There are lots of those for £40-50 on ebay and reddit, that is why i suggested 45.
What would be your price?
