How much would you pay for my Kishy (bottom left) I wonder?
I’ve a beamspring, too, but neither of those is NIB. I do have an NIB SSK but that’s all.

the beamer in original box reminds me of this, seems it's exact what you're looking for.

Aye. Just one word away from the truth: Vintage IBM 3101 keyboard with
some BOX. Act now!
Meanwhile, I'm not kidding.
My NIB SSK is no fucking around.

I agree it would be lucky chance to find one. There was an eBay listing probably a year ago that was a beam spring display writer in an original box that was US Air Force inventory and I don’t think it was ever used. It obviously went for big money. Your best bet is to set up some searches and hope for the best! Good luck!

The 3101 on eBay last year was confirmed to have a fake reproduction box. So far, as far as I've seen, zero "boxed" beamspring boards have been found. They weren't really commercial products either, they were mostly leased out, so they wouldn't have any kind of interesting box art either, it would just be plain cardboard with foam inserts. I'm interested to learn about that Air Force beamer, that's something that managed to slip under my radar.

Regarding the Air Force Beamer either I or someone else posted it in the great/interesting fines thread. I’m going to say it was listed somewhere between page 750 to 810 but that’s a wild guess. It was an eBay listing and I’m pretty sure it was someone who purchases off of the U.S. government surplus website. I thought it was the whole computer which also included the keyboard but I really don’t remember. The only thing that comes to mine was that it was dated 1981 and he didn’t think it had been used.

I have an air force displaywriter beam spring. The most interesting things about it are little things, like the polymer the switches are made with is different, and the molds the keys were molded with are different and that it was made in 1988. It's the latest made beamspring ive come across. Other than those little nerd differences, there's nothing interesting about it.
