[FREE-EU] Rack/Tray mount keyboard-mouse combo and Compaq Enhanced II
Posted: 22 Sep 2020, 20:27
To be had for the price of shipping:
Available:
Compaq Enhanced II keyboard (Key Tronic foam & foil): Hefty yet "space-saving" design from about 1990. Its nifty detachable SDL to DIN cable is interchangeable with IBM's, for the curious out there.
Claimed:
I salvaged two 18 in. rack mount keyboards from the electronics waste bin at work, one of which was mounted in its tray. I won't use both of them so thought I would offer the tray and one of the boards to the community for the price of shipping.
They've got what appear to be clicky Alps clone switches with linears under the lock switches similar to the description in this post viewtopic.php?t=14521 and have 0.9 mm-thick ABS pad-printed caps. The lock keys, however, are 1.2 mm thick. They are mounted in a ~1 mm-thick steel plate. They have dual PS/2 plugs and the trackpads work well. Warning, the keyboards are loud and there's plenty of pingy resonance in the cases. The cases are cheap plastic but the backs are ~1mm thick painted steel. They weigh 1.8 kg each.
The rack is bomb-proof. I would mount it to my coffee table but I'm moving across the ocean in a few months. It closes with a satisfying click and weighs 2.94 kg.
Let me know if you are interested! Shipping is from France.
