I am in need of some good specimens of Alps SKCM Blue switches to send to a switch manufacturer for evaluation (attempting to re-create them if you are not aware).
What I need are several very good condition SKCM Blues, not restored but NOS.
Old tall switchplate version, Preferably never soldered (if none exist then I'll need to locate some tall unsoldered Alps switchplates)
NOS or very good condition Alps SKCM Blue switches.

I believe the person who was running the White Alps NOS GB might have access to a few of them, but it might be difficult to convince them to get a few from the original seller.

Does he have the entire SKCM Blue switches or just the switchplates?ZedTheMan wrote: 02 Nov 2019, 15:59 I believe the person who was running the White Alps NOS GB might have access to a few of them, but it might be difficult to convince them to get a few from the original seller.

Entire switches, but he may need to buy them from the seller at a higher price due to the low quantity available.

I saw him post that the blues are sold out. I messaged him anyway though.

How essential is the NOS aspect? Could multiple very good condition not NOS switches make a decent substitute?
What about if we had NOS of other 1st Gen parts, like NOS switchplate from an SKCL/SKCC Green, and otherwise very good parts from blues? I don't recall any difference in switchplate between different switch varieties of the same "generation" of switchplate, at least.

Yes, NOS tall switchplates from SKCC/L would work great (if they aren't the sealed kind) and someone on Reddit offered to send me a few blues from a NOS board for free!
So the ultimate thing now would be some NOS unsoldered switchplates I can swap into the switches so the R&D people at [REDACTED] can examine these switches in their prime.
