Hi folks,
I am not a huge keyboard collector, more into complete vintage computer systems. Some time ago I got my hands on a Mindset computer system, minus the keyboard. I have looked around for 4 years but have had no luck whatsoever locating one. Unfortunately the Mindset, although it is PC compatible-ish, uses a proprietary keyboard design. The power button is on the keyboard itself, so it's impossible to even turn the computer on without it.
The keyboard looks like this: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7524/158 ... c2a1_b.jpg
I don't think it says Mindset anywhere on it except maybe on a label on the back, so makes it kind of tricky, but a tipoff is that power button, which is located along the top edge of the keyboard. If you have one you'd be willing to sell/trade for, please PM me. Literally there is no way I can make my machine run without it.
Many thanks!
Mindset keyboard

Heh. I supposed you've just seen The 8-bit guy's latest video.
BTW, that is HaaTa's picture from this thread posted in 2014.
Hmm.. I also noticed that someone else here had sadly used one as a "donor board". I've done that myself with a rare computer keyboard when I had just started out with this hobby, but these days I would not use one as donor without first at least looking up what it is. Too many vintage keyboards have been stripped and useful parts trashed.

Yeah I just saw it and it reminded me.
I actually found a pic on pinterest that showed three components together: the keyboard, computer and expansion unit all together in boxes. I think the system unit pictured there might have been mine.. it had a number 1 written in black marker on a yellow sticky note, which is how mine came. Unfortunately the pieces got separated.
I keep hoping I'll stumble on one but it has been 4 years and I think it may never happen if I don't ask around. 8bitguy reminded me.
I actually opened up the relay on mine that allows power into the machine to start it.. but I just get a blank screen. I think the system needs to talk to the keyboard before it will post.

Interesting machine. Especially the bit about accelerated graphics but only ever one single game compatible with it.

Now, if IBM had shipped this thing instead of the PC, we'd be on a more exciting timeline. But it bit the dirt at speed…
