I think there are other keyboards much more suitable for harvesting switches. People get these for it being a mechanical Amiga keyboard or for harvesting the keycaps, before they think of the switches.
I regret that I once bought only the set of keycaps from a forum member instead of the whole keyboard. I now think these should be kept intact.

reddit disagrees. they will desolder any board for its sweet, sweet blacks when a random 3000 with an early date code would be just fineFindecanor wrote: 17 Mar 2019, 09:28 I think there are other keyboards much more suitable for harvesting switches. Yes, I do not intend to harvest switches from it, as I already have many G80-1000HAD and 3000HAD that does the same thing with better switches. I love Amiga boards and use it as a collection. Amiga 2000 >> Amiga 1000 because of the Amiga logo keycaps.samuelcable wrote: 17 Mar 2019, 10:48reddit disagrees. they will desolder any board for its sweet, sweet blacks when a random 3000 with an early date code would be just fineFindecanor wrote: 17 Mar 2019, 09:28 I think there are other keyboards much more suitable for harvesting switches. I've seen a few on ebay, a couple in America and one in Germany IIRC. Another option is to try asking on some of the Amiga forums....
