Qume QVT-??? keyboard

Well it's approaching 3AM here and I'm at the end of my Conversion Immersion. I've done a whole lot of futzing & soldering and now I'm left with just one board that doesn't want to play nice. Ultimately my goal is to convert this keyboard but I've unfortunately run out of steam for the time being.
I plan to make this a thread about the signalling and hopeful conversion of this keyboard but for now please enjoy this slideshow.
Here it is: the Qume QVT something something something keyboard. Forty seven ounces of American craftsmanship (made in Taiwan).

And it's got....

Cherry MX Black! A staple of terminal-era keyboards everywhere. I'm not sure that there's anything particularly interesting about these switches but here's a cool macro shot I took.

Look at that subtle coloring. The tasteful thickness. Oh my God, it even has a watermark.
Now let's take a look at the inside...

Pretty normal, with a few exceptions.
Well this seems slightly unorthodox.

Oh this too...

Maybe they were last minute revisions to the design? Anyways, here are the rest of the photos.

Now that you've seen my foot, here's the keyboard's foot.

Well that's pretty much it. Oh except for this one.

That light means it's locked. I've never seen that light off
