It's isn't Saturday morning without a big cup of coffee and a new Chyros video to watch. Color is amazing on that NOS thing too. Last one I saw would have cost more in peroxide to retrobright it than the board itself.

The term "mechanical" in all literature I've seen to date, exclusively refers to metal contact switches, as noted on the wiki under [wiki]mechanical keyboard[/wiki].
So the first question is, why is the Model M considered mechanical? Did IBM use that description themselves?

Used this keyboard a while at work, it got replaced with a Topre, but the snappy keyfeel was pretty satisfying. Topre is a lot smoother and less rattly but i will chose the NMB dome with slider over Romer-G and MX Brown any day.
