Honeywell D3013 / Grid Compass

This is a keyboard unit for a laptop, I've never seen the laptop though. It uses tactile Micro Switch ST Series switches which I had not tried up to this point. I must say these slider over rubber dome switches are very nice, for domes that is.
The travel of the switch is smooth with the tactility crisp at the same time, no mushieness at all. For me these compare to Torpe domes surspassing BTC domes in terms of feel.

The Honeywell label reads 40th week of 1989 as the production date.
I have no idea why three swiches have the white housing the keyweight feels the same to me. Notice how there are different number/letter combinations on the top of the slider but all these swtiches have the same keyweight.
The main unit with the domes is fixed to the plate which sandwiches the membrane via small metal hinges.
Excellent spacebar stabilization with two switches on either side and that solid metal bar.
Since the laptop layout is cramped they opted for colored sub legdens making the keycaps quite nice in this case. There are white, yellow, red and turquoise ledgends. The keycaps have a nice texture to them.
