Wondering if someone might be familiar with installing and using key blockers on the KMX 128 matrix keyboard or perhaps could point me in the right direction. (Mechanical key cap that block the key form being used. They snap on top of the cherry key switch. When the key blocker is installed it also depresses the switch, which remains depressed until the blocker is removed.) Goal would be to disable the key without impeding functionality of keyboard / software.

I do not know if the key blockers can be used? My experience with the key blockers is from the X-keys Professional keypad which uses the blockers to customize the key layout.

Not sure if I am looking in the correct spot in the Changeme software. So far, I have tested by choosing the size as "blank" which eventually results locking up the software / keyboard.

I have also looked at the Changeme options without any success. Choosing the "blank' under size, seems correct, as choosing this option greys out the key options which implying the correct choice given my limited understanding.

This can and will not work through software. Tipro boards don't have diodes and permanently depressing a switch will lead to insane ghosting!

What you should do is desolder the switches you want to block, take them out of the plate, open them up and block the contact with a bit of paper and put them back in.

Wodan is right, this is not a problem which can be solved by software.

What you describe is the second kind, what you are looking for is obviously the first kind. However, those are not flush with the keyboard because they top the switch instead of pressing it.

An alternative, of course, would be simply cutting away the stem of both the switch and your present key blocker. There would be nothing left which could press or be pressed.
