This is comparison of just the keycaps, as I only have keycaps from beige SGI Bigfoot. (Technically, I have the case too, but it's stuck in Sweden :) )

First, a couple of close-up pics

This is on an AEK II keyboard, F row and spacebar are Apple keycaps. The rest is alternating beige and granite. I was quite surprised to see that beige alphas have quite a warm tint, compared to both granite alphas (and apple keycaps as well). I thought that the only difference between them was the colour of the mods. Looking at some other pics on the net, I don't notice such a heavy tint, so is there something else going on with these caps?

Some more pics, comparing the keycaps to other boards

Perhaps keycaps of the SGI beige will match well with a wooden case, while not many caps can. I can see that the SGI granite caps go well with colder colors such as grey, dark blue, bluish grey, etc.

I almost put some 5140 keycaps on there as well :)

BTW, I love the new avatar.

Wow, I had no idea how red those beige SGI key caps were. I had imagined them having roughly the same hue as IBM, or maybe Unicomp, caps.

Wow, I always thought they were the same.

I must say I like the granite much more.
