Hey, hey. I recognize those Chinese caps! They're some of my favorites.
You've got a very humble collection though. I've got to learn your ways and sell off my blue Alps boards. I was surprised to see you let the DC-3014 go, but considering its worth, it's understandable.
Many of my vintages aren't being used, but I have a hard time letting them go, mainly because of just how much of a pain it was to find them all.

I try to find things that few people have. I also tend to collect by category and usability. Humble might be an overstatement... Unless you're comparing me to a collection exclusively composed of rare alps. *AHEM, E3E'S, COUGH*
For example, I have a White Alps keyboard (yet to be cleaned) with switches that feel great, so those are more than adequate to represent the category of "Alps SKCM clicky switches." I also don't feel bad when I use them because they're in relatively low demand.
Using my DC-3014 was murder. I felt like I was shining the caps and killing the switch feel with every stroke. Selling it gave me seed money to get more vintage keyboards, which made me much happier.
I think my goal is having a good representation of all vintage switches mixed with a few rare keyboards that please me for one reason or another. I'll never truly be done collecting, but I will reach a point where very few keyboards enter my collection.
Some people only want a few switches that feel really good, primarily focusing on keyboards that contain them or could contain them. I'm more of a generalist, I guess.

What do you mean?

That ADDS board looks absolutely beautiful, with some funky keys. But why, oh why it has to have a 1u backspace.

Yeah... The decision to have an extra long 1 key and a 1u backspace astounds me. On the other hand, I don't really mind 1u backspaces. I end up using my ring finger instead of my pinky for increased accuracy and everything works out.

Btw what did you mean with silver label swap, had this model m before a other label?

I swapped its original upper case with the top of a silver label Terminal M. It had a standard white & black oval label before.

I really appreciate that look, the terminal square labels are my favourite fullsize Model Ms.

Thanks!
I just picked up the older variant of the modular cable, which I'm quite happy about. I think the black coils, DIN connector, and nice IBM branding on the connector improve the overall aesthetic of vintage Ms.
