A variant of these switches is what the board my Chinese PBT key caps had under the caps. Yeah, extremely reduced travel and mushiness to boot. Fun combination!

All I have tried in this direction are the Alps semi-integrated domes in my ICL which also have very short travel but little mushiness if any.
