Good work hypkx, I have a bolt-mod project lined up (I am supreme at gathering projects and then putting them off for extended periods of time  ) Thanks to 7bit I'll be getting a replacement barrel for the one I managed to tear up.

There are three model Ms that wait for their boltmod, yesterday I got my screws.
Btw two of the model Ms have broken and missing barrels, I will also repair them.
I will post another picture thread when I have them finished.

How are the Model M domes? Do they feel good?

Funny thing is that MOST keyboard enthusiasts ignore the "Rubber-domes" simply because they are not Buckling Spring (mechanical) hence this type of keyboard gets next to no loving here or on Geekhack Central.

Shame really, since these older model keyboards are simply the BEST rubber domes to use and own.

Always miss out on buying one when they appear on Fleabay. They don't last long when posted for sale, hence it looks like they are quite decent and sought after.

In fact anything with an IBM logo sells easily, pity for us buyers but good for sellers :D .

They feel like a normal rubberdome, of course the keyboard have a much better construction than any other rubberdome, thick keycaps a deep (and very silent) sound. I also like that the keys are not such cheap flat shiny crap, like other rubberdomes. I like the keyboard, when it is time where you have to be quiet, it is very good. It is also good to attract people to IBM keyboards for which is buckling spring to strange.
