Question about click solenoids

Would it be possible to add a click solenoid to a modern (cherry) keyboard? If so, where could I possibly buy one? And how would it be wired in? Thanks for the help.

Yes, it's definitely possible. You can buy solenoids pretty much anywhere that stocks electronic parts. Make sure you get one that's cool with the voltage of the keyboard's microcontroller to make your life easier. To wire it, you'd need an extra output on the keyboard's controller, and the ability to reprogram said controller. You also need a power transistor to provide the current the solenoid requires, and a flyback diode if you want your microcontroller to not die. How to put these parts together and modify the keyboard's firmware to produce the clicks is left as an exercise to the reader.
