Just received the first of my two WhiteFox orders WITH keycaps. Should be one of the first WhiteFox with keycaps shipped from Massdrop to the EU

Lovely. I'm not sure if the exta row will be worth it for me now that I've gotten used to 60%.
But damn, that packaging, the aluminum, and those pearly white caps make me really look forward to this again.
I ordered in December so I guess I'm in the later round?
Do you reckon it could be used without a top plate to allow experimenting with different layouts (PCB mount)?
Edit: On second thought that will probably look bad, due to the bezel around the caps.

the top plate is part of the case, you can't really use the keyboard without it. well... it would require quite some modifications... namely gluing standoffs to the PCB
