Right after I found the Contact Systems CS-400C from my previous album, I found a CS-400D. Sadly this model didn't have the same squeaky lid the last one had



The first blatant difference I noticed when opening up the keyboard was the Cherry logo clearly branded on the PCB.



I flipper her back over to check the switches after that





Found Cherry M series switches. (I believe M6 or M7's). God awful feeling switches. Very scratchy and rough. SKCC and the Fubata switches in the 400C blow these things away. The spacebar switch, marked with a red dot, was actually very pleasant and extremely smooth curiously enough.

The caps are very thick doubleshots (not MX compatible)




Ended up taking off all the caps

Its interesting that all the switches are T mount except the space bar which is the more tradition M6/M7 bar mount.
The T mount don't seem to match any of the variants in the wiki wiki/Cherry_M5/M6/M7

Time to open one up and take more pictures

Yeah I did notice that as well. Took it back apart to day to take out switches (from both) but had to go to work early. Tomorrow will reveal more
