I rather think berserkorfan wasn’t quoting a particular repetitive message,
but pointing to the fact that his offer for free stuff obviously attracted many people
who tried to take advantage of his situation to have him bear even the shipping costs.

I agree with kdbrf, that's what I understood as well.
Some people have a skewed understanding of what's included in an offer for free stuff.
